Solution
Two geometric abstractions define the space. A six-layer golden panel at the rear of the dining room forms an illuminated abstract ox nose; the gaze is then led upward to a sculptural ox horn suspended from the ceiling. Together they anchor the design and symbolize the ox’s potential energy.
Outcome
A central triangular timber structure reimagines the rooftops of Osaka Castle with Kumiko-patterned glass, acting as a light tunnel toward the ox nose. A mural of 65 running oxen circles the dining area, and gold brick accents inspired by the castle complete a room that bridges heritage and innovation.
